RAINING WISHES

By Lady Jira

I, SOMETIMES, WISH I WERE THE RAIN

FALLING FROM THE SKIES

ONLY WATER WOULD REMAIN

NOT TEARS FROM MY EYES

IN THIS WORLD OF HURT AND PAIN

DUE TO GREED AND LIES

THEY DO REGRET BUT DON'T REFRAIN

WHEN CHANCES ARISE

FALLING FOR THE ONES I LOVE

QUENCHING EVERMORE

BLESSING PEOPLE EVERYWHERE

AND ON EVERY SHORE

GOING WHERE I'VE NEVER BEEN

SEE THINGS NEVER SEEN

FALLING ON THE FARTHEST LANDS

KEEPING FLORA GREEN

BUT RAINS DON'T LAST FOREVER

ON THIS THOUGHT I REPLY

WHEN LAST DROPS FALL FROM THE HEAVENS

THEN'S WHEN I WILL DIE
