The Tower
By Lady Jira
I once was bit
Ere twice as shy,
Not easily smit'
Is cautions eye
Of young girl's tears
There is no trace
They paved a way
For woman's grace
A worthy man
Was meant for me
Towering strength
And bravery
But caution built
My walls too high
They stand before
My seeking eye
His brilliance must
Shine subtly
To conquer walls
In spite of me.
